Our team has decades of experience in forecasting surf conditions -- we've been doing it since the 1990s. We've studied every component of surf forecasting to determine the optimal approach. Surf Captain's own wave and weather models and advanced scientific techniques provide accurate surf height and wind condition predictions. About the Founder

Micah Sklut is the founder and Chief Captain of Surf Captain. Micah has been forecasting surf conditions since the late 90’s, and forecasting has been the focus of his entire career. Micah started predicting surf conditions for his local state as a teenager on DelawareSurf.com. This led to being recruited for Surfline, and then Micah eventually started his first forecasting business, Swellinfo in 2006.
